Cummins N14 Essential Diesel Engine Bolt Tightening Torques

 

Cummins N14 Main Bearing Bolt Torque 

Step 1 = 120 Nm, 90 lb.ft
Step 2 = 230 Nm, 170 lb.ft
Step 3 = 346 Nm, 255 lb.ft
Step 4 Loosen all;
Step 5 = 120 Nm, 90 lb.ft
Step 6 = 230 Nm, 170 lb.ft
Step 7 = 346 Nm, 255 lb.ft


Cummins N14 Connecting Rod Bolt Torque 

Solid Piston
Step 1 = 100 Nm, 75 lb.ft
Step 2 = 264 Nm, 195 lb.ft

Articulated Piston
Step 1 = 130 Nm, 95 lb.ft
Step 2 = plus 60 degrees +- 5 degrees

Important Note +- 5 degrees does not mean approximate - Clck to See below:
Cummins N14 Cylinder Head Bolt Torque 

Step 1 = 136 Nm, 100 lb.ft
Step 2 = 298 Nm, 220 lb.ft
Step 3 = + 90 degrees
