Hannes het die Ford 5000 trekker 25 jaar terug gekoop toe hy 17 jaar oud was.
Die trekker het 4500 ure opgehad, maar die klok het nie meer gewerk nie.
Hy het die big end bearings vervang en ringe.
Die 5000 stroop elke jaar grondbone en werk daagliks op die plaas.
Hy het tans 11600 ure op die nuwe klok.
En loop dus dan vir 50 jaar al met die selfde main bearings en olie pomp!
That Ford 5000 tractor is Hannes' pride and joy
Hannes purchased that Ford 5000 tractor 25 years ago
when he was 17 years old.
The tractor had 4500 hours on it but the gauge no longer worked.
He changed big end bearings and rings.
The 5000, harvests groundnuts every year and works daily on the farm.
The new gauge now has 11,600 hours on it. So it's already run for 50 years with the same main bearings and oil pump!
